Hi, I’m Tina, a dedicated mom and nurse with over 30 years of experience. My passion for fitness and health started early, as I played softball and basketball throughout my school years. I carried this love into college, where I played rugby, taught aerobics at the local YMCA, and developed an interest in running races. After having my daughter, I stayed active by coaching her youth basketball team.
However, life as a single mom eventually took a toll. Despite always being proud of my strength and independence, I struggled with self-doubt, a lack of confidence, and accountability to myself deep down. In late 2021, after COVID and as a newly empty-nester, I found myself turning to food and alcohol for comfort. I was overweight, depressed, and discouraged. That’s when I came across an inspiring video on TikTok and thought, “Why not give it a try?” Feeling desperate, but determined to make a change, I reached out to Coach Kaylee, and the rest is history.
Since joining GRAV1TY, I’ve achieved things I never thought were possible. Through hard work, consistency, and a supportive community, I’ve become the best version of myself. Not only have I exceeded my weight loss goals, but I’ve also completed my first obstacle course race (OCR), a Tough Mudder, with more races coming up.
What I’m most proud of is not just my physical accomplishments, but the mental growth I’ve experienced along the way. Positivity is essential to success. This journey has taught me that striving to be your best is a very personal process that’s different for everyone. A “loss” is not a failure; it’s an opportunity to learn. From this mindset, I’ve learned the importance of focusing on both the wins and the lessons from setbacks. Each day and every step forward is progress.
Stay present. Stay focused. Stay grounded.
The support and camaraderie of the GRAV1TY community have been an essential part of my journey. This incredible team has given me the extra push I needed to succeed, and it is the sense of belonging that has helped me transform my life. Coach Kaylee taught me to believe in myself again, and for that, I will forever be grateful.
